Electroplating
In-house plating for hardware and decorative details — durable metallic finishes that elevate custom pieces.
Unlike sprayed surfaces, an electroplated finish holds its shine and colour for decades — outdoors as well. Part of our own production, not outsourced.
About this service
Electroplating at Preiss Workshop is done in our own workshop: parts are plated with copper, nickel or gold in the plating bath and mirror-polished. We plate both metal parts and plastic parts made conductive — letters, locker numbers, handles, brackets, lights and decorative details.
That is how light plastic letters with the finish of solid gold, gold-plated locker numbers for a spa and wall lights with a gold-plated cage come about. The plating is a real metal layer and holds its shine and colour far longer than paint or spray.
Electroplating is part of our own production and shortens the path from CNC cutting to a finished piece.
What can be electroplated?
Metal parts and plastic parts we make conductive: letters, numbers, handles, brackets, light fittings and decorative details.
Does gold plating last?
The plating is a real metal layer, not a colour. It holds its shine and colour far longer than painted or sprayed surfaces in normal use.
Can you plate an item I already own?
Usually, yes. Send a photo and measurements and we assess whether the item suits the bath and what preparation it needs.
Start with drawings, photos or measurements.
Send drawings, photos, measurements or a rough idea. We review the project and recommend the next step.
