Interior doors wrapped in architectural film

The doors and frames were sound but dated: an orange oak look that no longer matched the floors and cabinetry. Instead of replacing them we wrapped door leaves and frames in pale wood-grain film — the glazing bars of the glazed door included — and fitted black handles. The surfaces were cleaned and primed, the film heated and carried around the edges and under the rims; the edge work decides the lifespan. The look of new doors at a fraction of the disruption and cost.
